周大福慈善基金积极推动公私营合作 捐助机械臂手术室 惠及逾600位病人

透过模拟训练培育微创手术专才

由周大福慈善基金捐助的玛丽医院“郑裕彤博士机械臂手术室”最近举行开幕典礼,主礼嘉宾包括周大福慈善基金主席郑家成、医院管理局主席梁智仁教授、医院管理局行政总裁梁栢贤医生、玛丽医院及赞育医院医院管治委员会主席代表劳建青及玛丽医院行政总监李德丽医生。

周大福慈善基金主席郑家成表示:“周大福慈善基金积极推动公私营合作,捐助医管局引入先进医疗设施,让病人获得更优质的治疗。我们十分着重承传,这个手术系统可用作模拟训练,培训微创手术专才,有助提高本港相关技术的水平。”

周大福慈善基金与医院管理局合作,自2014年起先后于伊利沙伯医院、威尔斯亲王医院及玛丽医院添置第四代达文西机械臂手术系统,至今已为超过600位病人提供微创手术。该手术系统大大提升外科医生在处理复杂手术时的安全度、准确度及治疗效果。病人对手术的效果感到满意,减少传统手术的疼痛和不适,手术后能快速复元。病人留院期缩短,有助节省公立医院的医疗成本。

随着本港人口老化,市民对公营医疗服务需求甚为殷切。公立医院在添置或提升医疗系统时,或因涉及大笔公帑而未能及时调配资金。作为私人基金会,周大福慈善基金可灵活运用拨款,捐助医管局以填补现时服务空隙及支持创新项目,借此缔造公私营合作空间,提升本港医疗技术水平,让病人获得更优质的治疗。

过去两年,周大福慈善基金首次以医、社、商跨专业界别的公私营模式设立“精神科医疗资助计划”,让正在轮候公营医疗的情绪及精神病患者尽早得到治疗。透过新成立的“周大福医疗基金”继续支持更多从预防、治疗到康复跨专业合作的医疗卫生项目。

NGO offers relocation support with an interest-free loan of $8,000 for households residing in sub-divided units (Chinese only)

In partnership with H.K.S.K.H. Lady MacLehose Centre Group and Community Work Unit, the Foundation supported the Common Lab Project for a three year period since 2017. It provides support including loan and movers service to alleviate the burden of the low income families residing sub-divided flats and promote mutual support in the community.

The beneficiaries appreciate the timely support from the programme while the academia involved in the study commented that the micro-fund scheme of the programme was a breakthrough in Hong Kong.
