周大福慈善基金積極推動公私營合作 捐助機械臂手術室 惠及逾600位病人

透過模擬訓練培育微創手術專才

由周大福慈善基金捐助的瑪麗醫院「鄭裕彤博士機械臂手術室」最近舉行開幕典禮,主禮嘉賓包括周大福慈善基金主席鄭家成、醫院管理局主席梁智仁教授、醫院管理局行政總裁梁栢賢醫生、瑪麗醫院及贊育醫院醫院管治委員會主席代表勞建青及瑪麗醫院行政總監李德麗醫生。 

周大福慈善基金主席鄭家成表示:「周大福慈善基金積極推動公私營合作,捐助醫管局引入先進醫療設施,讓病人獲得更優質的治療。我們十分著重承傳,這個手術系統可用作模擬訓練,培訓微創手術專才,有助提高本港相關技術的水平。」 

周大福慈善基金與醫院管理局合作,自2014年起先後於伊利沙伯醫院、威爾斯親王醫院及瑪麗醫院添置第四代達文西機械臂手術系統,至今已為超過600位病人提供微創手術。該手術系統大大提升外科醫生在處理複雜手術時的安全度、準確度及治療效果。病人對手術的效果感到滿意,減少傳統手術的疼痛和不適,手術後能快速復元。病人留院期縮短,有助節省公立醫院的醫療成本。 

隨著本港人口老化,市民對公營醫療服務需求甚為殷切。公立醫院在添置或提升醫療系統時,或因涉及大筆公帑而未能及時調配資金。作為私人基金會,周大福慈善基金可靈活運用撥款,捐助醫管局以填補現時服務空隙及支持創新項目,藉此締造公私營合作空間,提升本港醫療技術水平,讓病人獲得更優質的治療。 

過去兩年,周大福慈善基金首次以醫、社、商跨專業界別的公私營模式設立「精神科醫療資助計劃」,讓正在輪候公營醫療的情緒及精神病患者盡早得到治療。透過新成立的「周大福醫療基金」繼續支持更多從預防、治療到康復跨專業合作的醫療衛生項目。

NGO offers relocation support with an interest-free loan of $8,000 for households residing in sub-divided units (Chinese only)

In partnership with H.K.S.K.H. Lady MacLehose Centre Group and Community Work Unit, the Foundation supported the Common Lab Project for a three year period since 2017. It provides support including loan and movers service to alleviate the burden of the low income families residing sub-divided flats and promote mutual support in the community.

The beneficiaries appreciate the timely support from the programme while the academia involved in the study commented that the micro-fund scheme of the programme was a breakthrough in Hong Kong.
